Optimum Grow is a two-part liquid base nutrient formulated specifically for the vegetative stage, developed by internationally recognised nutrient chemist Carl Barry and blended in Western Australia by Growth Technology. It has been a consistent performer in the Australian hydroponic market for good reason: the formulation is straightforward to use, reliable in a range of systems, and built around a nutrient profile that genuinely suits the demands of vegetative plant growth.

The combined A&B profile leads with a high nitrogen concentration (6.01% total, predominantly nitrate-nitrogen at 5.69%) to drive leaf and stem development, supported by strong potassium (7.51%) and calcium (4.50%) for structural integrity and cell development. Magnesium (1.25%) and sulphur (1.65%) underpin chlorophyll production and enzyme function, and the full trace element suite, iron, manganese, boron, zinc, copper, and molybdenum, covers the complete micronutrient requirements of the plant through the growth phase.

Add part A to water first at 3 to 4 ml per litre and mix thoroughly before adding an equal volume of part B. Add any additional additives, then adjust pH to between 5.5 and 6.5 and fine-tune dilution rate to achieve your target EC. Store in a cool, dark place. Pair with Optimum Bloom for the flowering stage.
