Most tap water contains chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals added during municipal treatment. In a hydroponic system, these compounds cause serious problems. Chlorine and chloramines are toxic to the beneficial bacteria that drive biological activity in your root zone and growing media, and will actively degrade the performance of organic biostimulants and inoculants. Contrary to common practice, letting water sit or running a bubbler will dissipate free chlorine over time, but does nothing to remove chloramines, which are chemically stable and require a dechlorinator to break down.

Aqua One Water Conditioner neutralises chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals on contact, making tap water safe to use in your system immediately.
