Automatically maintain reservoir nutrient and pH levels
Create the optimal conditions for nutrient uptake
The Bluelab PeriPod M4 will maintain stable pH and nutrient levels in your reservoir, ensuring optimal nutrient availability for your plants at all times. Your PeriPod responds to triggers received from the Bluelab Pro Controller, dosing pH adjusters and nutrient stock solutions into your reservoir to achieve optimal conditions for nutrient uptake.
Since there’s no need for spot checks or manual adjustments, the Bluelab PeriPod saves you time and labour so that you can focus on growing healthier plants every single time.
When you pair your controller with high-precision Bluelab PeriPod dosers, you’ll have a complete nutrient dosing system.
Long-lasting precision
Fine-tune your reservoir pH and nutrient
The Bluelab PeriPod M4 features highly accurate medical-grade peristaltic pumps, making precision easier and more achievable than ever before.
Not only will the Bluelab PeriPod M4 allow you to manage parameter increments down to 0.1 pH and 0.1 EC, your pumps can be user-calibrated to the viscosity of the liquid being dosed, ensuring a consistent flow rate at all times.
In addition, your PeriPod’s pump tubes and cassettes are replaceable, providing long-lasting accuracy and saving you money in the long run.
Bluelab PeriPods are available in three different sizes; simply choose the correct pump size for your growing setup needs.
Customise your dosing system
Deliver a complex nutrient programme at the touch of a button
When you combine your PeriPod with the Bluelab Pro Controller, you can customise your dosing setup by linking up to three PeriPods of the same series (M- or L-series), enabling you to deliver a multi-part nutrient programme.
Through our Connect software, you can also set your feed schedule, giving you the power to maintain your nutrient programme at the touch of a button.
Designed in New Zealand with growers in mind
All our products are designed with growers, for growers – so you can be confident that the Bluelab PeriPod will help you carry out the essential tasks of everyday growing with ease.
Control your key parameters 24/7
Team up with the Bluelab Pro Controller
This PeriPod has been designed to be paired with the Bluelab Pro Controller. This controller automatically monitors your parameters and sends signals to your PeriPod to the adjust pH and nutrient levels in your reservoir.
After all, when you keep your parameters steady, you’ll end up with healthier plants, improving both yield and quality.
You can also add the Bluelab External Lockout and Alarm Box to ensure that your dosing system is always working optimally or a Bluelab Sample Pot if your reservoir is located more than two metres/6.5 feet away from your Pro Controller.

As a guide, Bluelab recommends the following maximum concentration for commonly used acids and alkalines;
Peristaltic Pump tubing (PharMed BPT)
Nitric Acid <35%, Phosphoric Acid <85%, Sulfuric Acid <30%, Citric Acid <60%, Potassium Hydroxide <60%, Potassium Carbonate Concentrated, Potassium Silicate <60%.
The chemical concentrations stated above are a guide. Variations in temperature, pressure, or UV exposure may cause tubing failure which could lead to serious injury if proper safety precautions are not followed. For this reason, it is recommended that the tubing be tested with the desired chemical in the specific application to determine suitability. No warranty (neither express or implied) is given that the information (here or in Bluelab literature) is accurate or complete or that any material is suitable for any purpose.
pH Controller Feed Solution; General Dilution Guidelines.
This is a step-by-step general guide for diluting the initial pH up and pH down fluid for your hydroponics system using pH Controllers.
Understand the Controller: Familiarise yourself with the features and functions of your controller. This will ensure you make the most out of its capabilities and understand how to operate it effectively.
Gather Materials: Collect all necessary materials for the dilution process, including the concentrated pH up and pH down fluids, appropriate protective wear for acid/base/corrosive materials for the face and body, distilled water, measuring cups or beakers, and a stirring rod or spoon.
Determine Dilution Ratio: Some pumps are much faster than others. Adequate dilution is crucial for controlling pH level changes effectively. It is a trial-and-error process to find the correct level of dilution of solution to feed into your controller. You will need to determine the dilution rate in a test reservoir with nutrients added. You want to avoid precipitation, or drastic changes in pH by the controller. Different solution concentrations will require different dilution rates. Larger reservoirs will require lower dilution rates.
Prepare Workspace: Set up a clean and spacious workspace where you can safely handle the fluids and perform the dilution process without any risk of contamination. Wear the protective gear.
Measure Fluids: Using a measuring cup or beaker, carefully measure out the required amount of concentrate pH up or pH down fluid and water. Pour the measured amount into a clean container designated for dilution, mixing thoroughly.
Test: Commence operation of the pH controller, and watch the variation in the pH on the controller (possibly accompany it with using your pH meter) to check the pH level of the solution. Ensure that the dilution of the source controller fluid is adequate so that wild swings in pH are not experienced. The pH up or pH down fluid must be moved in small enough increments so that the desired pH level is achieved without harming the plants with large fluctuations in pH, and so that the precipitation is avoided.
Record: After you have established the correct dilution ratio for your system and your pH adjustment fluid, record the initial dilution of the controller pH fluid, and the size of the adjustments made by the controller in the reservoir when it varies the pH. This data will help you to track and maintain consistency in your hydroponic controller's pH levels.
Label Solution: Label the diluted solution clearly with the date of dilution, the type of fluid (pH up or pH down), and the dilution ratio used. This will prevent confusion and ensure you use the correct solution when adjusting pH levels in your hydroponic system.
Store Properly: Store the diluted solutions in tightly sealed containers away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to maintain their effectiveness over time.
By following these steps, you can effectively dilute the initial pH up and pH down fluids for your hydroponics system using your pH Controller, ensuring precise control over pH levels for optimal plant growth.
