An air line check valve is a small but essential piece of equipment whenever an air pump is positioned at or below the waterline of the aquarium. Without one, a power outage can cause water to back-siphon down the air line and into the pump, with results that range from a ruined pump to a flooded floor and a potential electrical hazard.

The Aqua One Air Line Check Valve installs directly into the air line and allows air to flow in one direction only, blocking any reverse flow the moment the pump stops. Installation is straightforward with no tools required. A simple and inexpensive safeguard that protects both your equipment and your aquarium.
