Many silica products on the market degrade in the bottle within six to twelve months of manufacture, delivering inconsistent or negligible silica content by the time they are used. When taken up by the roots, silica is deposited in plant cell walls as a rigid quartz-like matrix, producing measurable improvements across several areas simultaneously. Cell wall reinforcement improves stem strength and leaf orientation, supporting greater photosynthetic efficiency and more upright canopy structure. Fruit weight and shelf life are improved through the physical accumulation of silica in fruit cells. Heat stress tolerance is increased, allowing plants to maintain turgidity and productive function under elevated temperatures. Resistance to fungal diseases, including mildews and botrytis, is improved as silica accumulates at sites of fungal attack, physically impeding ingress. Pruning wound healing is also accelerated, which is particularly relevant in commercial cropping of tomato and cucumber where regular pruning creates ongoing disease entry risk. SilikaMajic contains 15% potassium silicate (NPK 0-0-10) and is fully soluble with no residue.
