ProLeaf CO 2 Generator - 4 Burner
*Please note photos are generic. Description title confirms the number of burners for the listing
Grab a Pro-Leaf CO 2 Generator and enrich areas of up to 230m2 with CO 2
It burns liquid propane gas (LPG) to produce CO 2 + water vapour.
They're super flexible - you can modify your CO 2 output with ease. To do this, you simply cap off burners (4kW model) or use the handy selector switches (10kW).
Each unit is complete with an electronic solenoid assembly - you can turn off CO 2 generation at set times (with no gas leaks!).
Runs on liquid propane gas (LPG)
Can modify CO 2 output!
Modify CO 2 Output (Caps Included)
No Pilot Flame
The intelligent electronic ignition system removes the need for one.
Suspend It Or Stand It
Suspend it using rope ratchets...Stand it up on the expandable metal leg attachments.
Solenoid Valve Attachment
This allows you to turn the CO 2 supply off & on. Never get a controller without a solenoid valve - you won't be able to shut off the gas supply completely.
Tip-Over Safety Switch
There's also a tip-over switch, which cuts power if the unit isn't upright.
Minimal Carbon Deposits
To reduce carbon build ups, the brass burners have chrome lined tips.
Even CO 2 Dispersion
CO2 is pushed out of both sides of the unit, thanks to the unique 'V' shaped internal design.
Why Add CO 2 ?
Plants use CO 2 for photosynthesis (sugar production). If CO 2 is restricted, so is sugar production.
Plants can handle 1000ppm - 1200ppm of CO 2 . There's only around 400ppm - 450ppm in the air. Bringing that up to the optimum 1200ppm is one of the easiest ways to increases your yield by up to 20%! In summer, extra CO 2 also helps plants with heat stress by photosynthesising more!
Augmented Photosynthesis: CO 2 plays a pivotal role in photosynthesis. Elevating CO 2 levels in the growing environment can invigorate photosynthesis, leading to heightened plant growth, improved plant health, and potentially increased yields.
Enhanced Productivity: Elevated CO 2 levels enable plants to convert a greater portion of available light energy into biomass. This can result in accelerated growth and potentially shorter crop cycles, facilitating multiple harvests within a year.
Improved Nutrient Uptake: With more efficient photosynthesis due to increased CO 2 levels, plants tend to utilise nutrients more effectively. This, in turn, enhances nutrient uptake from the hydroponic solution, reducing the risk of nutrient deficiencies.
Optimised Environment: Maintaining CO 2 levels within the range of 1000-1500 parts per million (ppm) can foster a stable and ideal growing environment. This helps mitigate the negative consequences of CO 2 depletion arising from plant respiration and CO 2 dispersion in larger spaces.
Temperature and Humidity Regulation: Propane combustion produces both heat and moisture. In specific scenarios, the additional heat contributes to maintaining a consistent temperature within the growing environment. Simultaneously, the generated water vapour elevates humidity levels, which can be beneficial for select plant species.
