When a cutting is taken, the freshly exposed stem tissue needs to be sealed quickly. Air entering the cut can cause embolisms that block the vascular tissue and prevent root development, and open wound sites are vulnerable to pathogen establishment before callus tissue forms. Cloner is a 100% organic cloning gel formulated to coat and seal the cut end of a cutting, protecting the stem tissue during the pre-rooting period as the plant begins callus and root formation.

The gel is deliberately thinner in consistency than many competing products. This allows for rapid absorption into the cut tissue rather than sitting as a surface coating, promoting better contact with the developing root initials and contributing to higher strike rates. The formulation is stable indefinitely in the bottle, resistant to drying out, and resistant to cross-contamination between uses. Callus tissue typically forms within five days of cutting, with adventitious roots breaking through within seven to ten days under favourable conditions.

Pre-dip cuttings prior to placing in the propagation medium. Do not use in conjunction with chlorines or peroxides. Compatible with FloraMax Clone Spray for a complete propagation program.
