Electronic pH meters are the standard tool for monitoring nutrient solution pH, but they are susceptible to probe drift, electrode contamination, and calibration error, particularly when lower-quality electrodes respond to sodium and other ions in the solution rather than hydrogen alone. A colorimetric pH test kit provides a reliable independent reference point for cross-checking meter readings, and a straightforward backup option when a meter is unavailable, out of calibration, or out of battery.

The Flairform pH Test Kit covers a range of 4.5 to 9.0, encompassing the full working range of hydroponic nutrient solutions. One to two drops per test yields a clear colour result, with a waterproof colour chart printed directly on the side of the bottle for immediate comparison without a separate reference card. A sturdy test tube is included. At one to two drops per test, the 30ml bottle delivers up to 800 tests. Simple, reliable, and practical to keep on hand as a secondary verification tool in any hydroponic setup.
