A compact handheld pH pen designed for direct insertion into soil and growing media, providing pH and temperature readings at the root zone rather than from solution samples. In soil and organic growing media, pH directly influences the activity of beneficial microorganisms and determines which nutrients are accessible to the plant. Monitoring at the substrate level gives a more accurate picture of what the plant is actually experiencing than reservoir readings alone.

The integrated storage cap doubles as a dibber for inserting the probe cleanly into substrate without compacting the medium around the measurement point.
