Coco coir behaves differently to inert hydroponic media and soil in ways that matter at the nutrient formulation level. Its natural cation exchange capacity affects how elements like calcium and magnesium are retained and released, and its buffering properties influence pH stability throughout the flowering period. A generic bloom nutrient used in coco will often produce inconsistent results for this reason. GT Coco Bloom is a two-part base nutrient formulated specifically for coco fibre in the flowering stage, with a nutrient profile built around what coco cultivation actually demands.
The combined A&B analysis reflects a flowering-stage profile: total nitrogen sits at 5.02% to maintain healthy canopy function through bloom without driving excessive vegetative growth, while phosphorus at 1.50% and potassium at 7.39% support flower site development, energy transfer, and carbohydrate transport during the reproductive phase. Calcium is held at 4.50% to account for coco's calcium-binding tendency, and sulphur at 2.14% supports enzyme function and aromatic compound development in the later flowering period. The full trace element suite covers micronutrient requirements through to harvest. Fulvic acid is incorporated to improve nutrient uptake efficiency and overall bioavailability across the root zone.
Add part A to water at 4 ml per litre and mix thoroughly before adding an equal volume of part B. Add any additional additives, then adjust pH to between 5.5 and 6.5 and fine-tune dilution rate to target EC. Store in a cool, dark place. Pair with GT Coco Grow for the vegetative stage.
